Doodle Sloth ProjectDOODLE SLOTH
GRADES 5 – 8
Students are introduced to sloths through a video, then create art about sloths. Students use a template or draw freehand the outline of sloth climbing a tree branch. Students personalize their drawings with creative patterning and doodling. Class discussion about how sloths need rainforest trees for food and shelter.

 

Flowerpot Sloth activityFLOWERPOT SLOTH / BUCKET OF SLOTHS
GRADES K – 4
Students are introduced to sloths through a video, then create art that includes a rendering of a baby sloth sitting inside a flowerpot. Students create unique pattern combinations on their flowerpots to improve their understanding of pattern making. Students use color construction paper, scissors and glue in this project to improve fine motor coordination and digital dexterity.
